About the Cat

When you notice a cat in profound contemplation
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
Her  mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of her name:
Her ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular name.
–T. S. Eliot (mostly)

I drove my mother and teachers crazy with questions when I was a little girl. I’m still curious. I like hunting down all there is to know about a thing, and I enjoy digesting and reconstituting it for my readers. Kind of like my cat bringing home half-digested lizards for my enjoyment.

But besides lizards and my effable name, I also wonder about things that are rather more difficult to hunt down. Big Game, like: Who is God and What does God Want from Me? Also, how to be happy, how to take care of the people in my life. And how to fix the things that are wrong with the world, and how to love all that is good in the world.

I suspect I shall be prowling for these answers all my life. If you’re a hunter or a seeker also, I’d love to hear from you. And when I find a sign or catch a whiff of an answer, I’ll share it here with you. Because I love you, even if I don’t know you. And I hope sometimes you’ll share with me as well.

    Hi Cat

I would love to hear more if you have the time to share.
For starters…ummmmm what is cold calling? lol I have no clue where to start, I don’t know anything!

Love your writings by the way. The post about the hijackers – WOW. So impressive, that takes major courage to post that, especially in your country! I totally understand where you are coming from, wouldn’t we live in an amazing world if everyone made the conscious choice you are making.

anyway, not sure that this is the right place to be leaving a huge comment, but just wanted to say thanks for your help :)
